Each copy of all environmental filings being submitted is required to have a completed cover sheet.

Fees shown apply to the filing of Notices of Determination and Negative Declarations.
Clerk’s Handling Fee | $50.00 | plus |
Environmental Impact Report | $4,123.50 | or |
Negative Declaration | $2,968.75 |
The Clerk Handling Fee applies to all filings, including those that are determined to be exempt from fees imposed by the Department of Fish and Game (DFG).

You can file Environmental Impact Reports by mail or in our office.
- Enclose the documents to be filed and payment for the appropriate fees.
- You may pay by check (personal, company, bank, or cashiers), money order or traveler’s checks. Out of country payments must be made in U.S. dollars.
- Credit cards are not accepted for mail orders.

- Bring the documents to be filed to the County Clerk-Recorder’s Office and pay the appropriate fees.
- You may pay by cash, debit/ATM, check (personal, company, bank, cashier’s or traveler’s) or money order.
- This office can accept a maximum of 4 concurrent filings over-the-counter per filer.
Methods of Payment
- Cash, Debit/ATM Card - In Person Only
- Credit cards are not accepted for in person and mail requests.
- Money Order, Cashier's or Traveler's Check - payable to: Alameda County Clerk Recorder
- Personal, Company or Bank Check, preprinted with account holder's name and address - payable to: Alameda County Clerk Recorder. Out of country payments must be in U.S. dollars.
- Credit cards (Master Card or Visa) are ONLY accepted for online copy request of Birth, Death, Marriage Certificates, Fictitious Business Name Statements, and Official Public Records.
