Records prior to 1969 are on microfilm and must be searched by hand at the Alameda County Clerk-Recorder’s Office. See “In Person” below.

Records from 1969 to present are in electronic format and may be searched for online.

You can now search for public records online. Be sure to notate the instrument number or book and page number or reel and image number if you want to order a copy of the document.

 

You can search the records in person at our office. Our records are available to the public during office hours.

If you cannot come into the office, you may send a representative or contact a title company for assistance. Check the yellow pages for listings.
